Hi Healthier Her,
I hope you are enjoying the blue sky and going for walks as much as you can.
Today, I want to introduce you to a fat-burning juice that will help you shed fat in weeks while also nourishing your body. I call it my Green Wonder.
Now this is an amazing juice that works magic especially for women with PCOS who find it very hard to lose weight.
Note: This juice should not replace your meals or diet. It is an addition to whatever healthy routine you already have.
You can use either a blender or a juicer depending on what you have. Personally, I use a juicer because it makes the work easier and I get as much juice out of the ingredients as possible.
Ingredients:
-
Cucumber: Any type will do. Its health benefits include hydration, support for bone health (thanks to vitamin K), and potential benefits for your heart and cancer prevention. It also aids in digestion and helps manage blood sugar and weight.
-
Spinach: I call this the power food! It's great for iron absorption, hormone balance, bone health, reproductive health, weight management, skin glow, and so much more. You can use baby spinach or adult spinach, whichever is available.
-
Green Apple: Don’t skip this beauty! It is high in fiber (keeps you full longer), balances blood sugar, helps curb cravings, rich in antioxidants, lowers cholesterol and but not the least boosts immunity and digestion.
-
Celery: Another underrated hero! It is low in calories but high in nutrients, supports digestion and detox, fights inflammation, helps reduce bloating (thank me later!), balances fluid levels in the body
-
Ginger: The fire you need! It boosts metabolism, reduces inflammation, supports digestion, helps with bloating and nausea, aids hormonal balance (so good for PCOS!). it also gives a distinctive taste to the juice.
-
Lemon or Lime: A touch of zing and cleansing! It detoxifies the body, rich in vitamin C, balances pH, helps flush out toxins, gives your skin that glow (makes you sing Glow skin Glow!).
How to Make:
-
Juice or blend all ingredients separately. This helps reduce foam and pulp, especially from apples.
-
Sieve again if needed to remove extra foam or pulp.
-
Combine all the juices in a large clean container. Mix well using a spatula.
-
Pour into bottles or jars and refrigerate.
You can take this juice first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. Personally, I drink it throughout the day and use it as a substitute for sugary juices.
How Much to Make?
It depends on how long you want it to last. I prepare mine during the weekend and store it in the fridge for up to a week. This saves me time and still keeps the juice fresh. I recommend storing it for no more than 7 days.
Would you try this?
